This role is Hybrid, with 1 week on site in office, and 1 week working from home alternating. Homelessness Officer Doncaster, Yorkshire Temporary Full Time - Hybrid We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Homelessness Officer to join a team based in Doncaster on a full-time temporary ongoing basis. This role is Hybrid, with 1 week on site in office, and 1 week working from home alternating. The Homelessness Officer will be a part of a team conducting backssments of those presenting as homeless, or at risk of homelessness, identifying problems causing their homelessness, and offering support and advice. The post holder will be responsible for providing advice, assistance, and support to members of the community seeking housing advice, and actively working to reduce homelessness in the community. This role requires in-depth knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication experience of interviewing within a homelessness prevention role. Requirements Previous experience working in a similar role, within housing options or social housing, working closely with homelessness prevention Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Homelessness Reduction Act Experience of working with vulnerable people including direct experience of working to prevent homelessness Knowledge of relevant services and benefits to best support applicants experiencing housing problems and at risk of homelessnesinteractioncellent communication skills, both verbal and written Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines Role Expectations Work with people in housing need and those who are potentially homeless to identify and address their housing.
