We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in London to assist with the appointment of a Youth Support Worker , on a 3 -month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Summary: To support a caseload of NEET care leavers, acting as the support worker to conduct needs analysis backssments and develop jointly agreed pathway plans, identifying and documenting the support required to overcome personal barriers to education, training and employment. To provide information, advice and guidance to help young people access a range of education, training and employment provisions. Work closely with the EET Coordinator ensuring NEET caseload is well managed and young people progress from NEET to EET. Responsibilities: Working closely with the EET Coordinator and Personal Advisors plan and achieve a viable education, training and employment pathway for care leavers through direct work with young people. Maintain weekly contact with the active NEET caseload and record all engagement and non engagement on Mosaic, clearly evidencing all methods and attempts to engage with the YP seeking further direction from the Lead worker if necessary To act as a support worker within the team, evaluate and respond to EET referrals take appropriate action and give appropriate advice, information and assistance. Assist EET Coordinator with planning and preparing provisions booklet and update notice board with opportunities and promote events Assist EET Coordinator planning and delivering activities to enhance young peoples chances of doing better in education, training and employment Qualifications: Good general education and evidence of high standard of literacy and numeracy Good command of standard software packages in particular MS Excel Evidence of securing work experience/placements for young people lacking work experience Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short.
