Tracking a band means that we will notify you any time that tracked band has a show near you. Show notifications and tour updates for all of the bands you track will be included in one weekly email.
Tracking a band requires 3 things: a band name, a location to track them to and an email to send your weekly update.
You can track a band in two ways.
to the far right of the band entry. You cannot add multiple bands to your BandTracker at one time. However, you can quickly add bands to your BandTracker with our Quick Tracker.
Oodle BandTracker has 717,745 bands in our database and you can track as many of those bands as you want.
To stop tracking a band, go to the Track 'em page and make sure the My Tracked Bands section is open. Click 'Un-track' next to the band that you wish to remove. For your privacy, we will ask you to be signed in to remove bands from your Oodle BandTracker. Why?
The advance notice period for new shows varies. However, Oodle BandTracker guarantees to give you at least two weeks heads up on new shows coming to your area. (make sure your BandTracker Update frequency is set to at least as frequent as bi-monthly to ensure that you are notified of all of your upcoming shows).
Oodle BandTracker will notify you of upcoming shows 'around your city'. This region varies depending on which city you are in, but we will send you all new shows within driving distance of the location you input.
Yes, Oodle BandTracker can help you get great, cheap tickets to a show because it is powered by Oodle.com, the search engine for classifieds. Clicking 'search for tickets' on Oodle BandTracker will take you to the results page of Oodle's search that scans thousands of websites for tickets for an artist or an event. Search for tickets online to check out more of Oodle and find cheap or last minute deals for your favorite bands.
Keep in mind, you can edit the frequency of your BandTracker update to 'never' to stop receiving emails without canceling your BandTracker. If there is something we can improve, please let us know. Oodle BandTracker employed oodles of monkeys to go to live music shows around the country. Not only did most of them end up with backstage VIP passes and partying with the bands, but through their research, we were able to learn about thousands of bands and upcoming shows.
Note: No monkeys were hurt or injured in the process.
Oodle BandTracker does not determine the top tracked bands, you do. We keep track of how many users track a certain band, and showcase that in our Most Tracked Bands.
Although we know of over 717,745 bands, there are always new ones forming, and it is possible that we overlooked some.
Monkeys. Like we said before ... monkeys. (see above)
Even though we know of 710,086 live music events, it is possible that we overlooked some. In order to make sure we know about an event, we recommend that you post the show online. We get a lot of information from places like event sites. Try one of those or email us.
Oodle BandTracker will use the email that you gave us to send you weekly updates on all of the bands you are tracking. If any of your tracked bands have an upcoming performance in your area, we will let you know in that weekly email. We will also direct you to tickets for that show and send you a weekend concert calendar for your area.
Yes, you can change the updates to get them every week, bi-weekly or monthly. Go to the Track'em page, open the My BandTracker Shows area and you can edit the frequency. For your privacy, we will ask you to sign in before editing your frequency.
Oodle BandTracker will only use your email to send you your BandTracker Update. We will never spam you or give out your email address, period.
You can set up alerts for tickets to a show here. Type in your location and the band name in the keyword box.
You can eliminate emails of the BandTracker Updates by changing the frequency to 'never'.
Only giving us your email allows you to track as many bands as you like, view all of your tracked bands and their shows and receive a BandTracker Update via email.
In order to protect your privacy while performing certain actions on BandTracker, we ask that you validate your email address and create an account. Creating an account and signing in allows you to delete bands, edit email frequency and unsubscribe from the Oodle BandTracker service.
A widget is a piece of code that allows information to be transferred from one site to another.
You can paste the code for the widgets on any page that allows you to input HTML. Great examples are personal webpages, blogs and MySpace.
Login to your MySpace homepage and click "Edit profile." It will automatically open to your "Interests & Personality" page, where you can paste the code copied from the BandTracker website into several categories. It is recommended that you paste the code in your "About Me" section. You can then preview your section or profile and finally click "Save All Changes". To view your updated profile, click "View My Profile" in the upper right corner.
The MY BandTracker widget displays a handful of upcoming shows for bands you have tracked in chronological order. If there are not enough shows to fill up your widget, we will display a list of the bands you are tracking.
